Spring Rolls – 5 Ingredients

I was craving these rolls, they are fresh and healthy and absolutely delish! This was the first time we made them at home. It was really fun to make them together, your kids will love this activity!


There are different rolling techniques, if you have never rolled a spring roll before, look up a YouTube video and try it out! You can also fill the spring rolls with carrots, herbs and rice noodles. You can customize these in so many ways!

Ingredients

8 Rice wrappers

8 -10 Large Cooked Shrimp, cut in half

4 leaves of butter lettuce, chopped

1 cucumber, cut into thing long pieces 4” long is fine

Sweet Baby Rays – Sweet Chili Sauce

Warm Water for dipping the rice paper – I used my Corning Ware 9” pie plate


Instructions (I recommend watching a YouTube video for wrapping lol)

1. Fill the pie plate with warm water, dip the rice wrapper for a second and lay the wrapper flat.


2. Add lettuce, cucumber in a row across the lower center. Roll ½ way and add the shrimp, fold uncovered sides (tucking in) and finish rolling.


3. Repeat for all rolls.


4. Serve with the chili sauce on the side.


Tip: Parchment paper helps to avoid the rice wrapper sticking to your cutting board or flat surface.
